Masaai Mara is named after the Masaai Community who are the native occupants of the area and the current dwellers. The National Reserve host a variety of wild animals: lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and even cheetahs. Wildebeests, one of the seven greatest wonders of the world traverse its plain during their annual migration (August to October). These items are essential for protection from the scorching sun during the adventure in Maasai Mara. Apart from hats and sun glasses, one can also pack sunscreen lotion to apply on the face and neck. This is so because when exposed to the scorching sun for a long time then the end results would be what we refer to as sunburn (skin cracking or peeling off) on the skin surfaces.
