Fourteen falls

_x000D_ _x000D_ In July last year as my boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary, we took a trip to the fourteen fall. Located along the Thika Garissa road, 65 kilometers from Nairobi is the fourteen falls is very close to anyone who wishes to experience it. We learnt that the name fourteen falls was derived from the fact that it was a combination of 14 falls. The scenery is breathtaking for photography and appreciation of nature. The reception of visitors is very warm and professional and with a guise it is very easy to navigate through the place and get to experience everything._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_
_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ The flow of the Athi River water gets beautiful as you approach the falls thus giving the tourists the best nature’s experience ever. Other activities to partake in include; identifying the different plants surrounding the river, boat riding and enjoying the river, watching divers dive, fishing on the river, taking good photos, sun basking and watching birds and the surroundings. Our main interest was to get good photos as a couple in the venue and enjoy the romantic vibes that come with the falls. The water is twenty-seven meters hence it is impossible to swim in the river._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ The affordability of the place makes it very easy for everyone to enjoy the scenery especially the youth who are adventurous. Entry charges vary on whether the tourist is a Kenyan citizen or not as follows; Kenyan Children: 100, Kenyan Adults: Kshs 200, Foreign Children: 10 US dollars and Foreign Adults: 20US dollars. Those carrying professional cameras are charged an extra Kshs. 150.The charges by the guides differ depending on the agreement between the tourist and the guide while the boat rides cost Ksh. 400 per head._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_          DIRECTIONS:_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Public means_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Take a Matatu to Thika from Nairobi Central Business District near Archives, then in Thika take another matatu going to Kilimanjaro and ask the conductor to alert you on where to alight._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Private Means_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Get to Thika town and then drive on Garissa road heading to Kilimanjaro then take the exit to the falls._x000D_ _x000D_
