Paradise Lost just as the name suggest is a heaven that not many know about. It is sandwiched in a coffee farm in Kiambu town, 14Km from Nairobi City and about 10minutes drive. It is known to host an ancient cave dated to be 2.5 million years old according to carbon dating done on an obsidian rock artifact found there. It is right here that the Mau Mau fighters used as their hideout when fighting for the country’s independence.

The labyrinth caves’ entrance is hidden by a breathtaking waterfall at the front and River Gichi flowing nearby, providing a spectacular and attractive view to the place. The caves are well lit with electricity from the entrance up to a wide cavern inside, which gives one an ample time to have fun and enjoy the exploration in there and actually, have a feel of what the Mau Mau Freedom Fighters had, isn’t that amazing?
